My work focuses on disease resistance in cereals and potatoes, fungicide sensitivity, pathogen monitoring, and innovative genomic surveillance projects aimed at improving crop resilience. Teagasc Parallel to my scientific career, I’m the founder and lead instructor at the Academy of Dance Carlow. With over 50 years’ dance training and 30 years of teaching experience, I hold a World Dance Council adjudicator’s licence and have coached many All-Ireland champions to compete internationally. Academy of Dance Carlow is a well-established studio that has been providing top-level dance education over the last 30 years. The studio is located in the heart of Carlow. Fiona is a fully qualified professional and holds a World Dance Council adjudicators licence, she is a highly skilled and experienced dance teacher/adjudicator with over 50 years of dance training. She has officiated in Ireland and internationally on many adjudicating panels including both World and European championships. Fiona has trained many national ‘All Ireland’ champions who represented Ireland at World & European level, she is extremely dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. At the Academy of Dance Carlow, we specialise in Wedding First Dance, Social Dance and Ballroom and Latin American dance catering to students of all ages and skill levels, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to express themselves through dance.
